Mental Health Assessment

Service Overview:

A clinical evaluation conducted to assess client needs, mental status, and ​diagnostic impressions. This process helps determine the appropriate ​services and treatments based on the presenting problem and any ​significant changes in the individual’s condition.

Who Can Participate:

Youth, adolescents, and adults aged 5 to 65 showing signs of mental illness.

Outcome:

The assessment results are shared with the individual to collaboratively ​develop a treatment plan and determine the necessity for further care.

Based on your assessment, you will be placed in one of the following ​programs:


  • Inpatient Stabilization Program: For adults and geriatric populations.
  • Dual-Diagnosis Unit: Addresses psychiatric issues combined with ​drug/alcohol problems.
  • Outpatient Mental Health Day Treatment Program
  • Intensive Outpatient Program
  • Community Psychiatric Supportive Treatment (CPST) Service


Community Psychiatric Supportive Treatment (CPST)

Service Overview:

Our CPST staff works closely with individuals to ensure treatment needs ​are met, including medication adherence, benefits acquisition, and ​accessing healthcare and housing resources. This service bridges the gap ​between individuals and service providers, offering a comprehensive, team-​based approach to treatment.

Who We Partner With:

Criminal justice systems, area hospitals, and social service agencies to ​provide a full range of services.

Service Locations:

Services are provided in the community (homes, hospitals, jails, nursing ​homes) and at our Cuyahoga County locations.

Therapeutic Behavioral Services (TBS) & Psycho-social ​Rehabilitation

What is TBS?

A set of community-based clinical services aimed at improving social, ​communication, problem-solving, conflict-resolution, and independent ​living skills.

Who Can Participate:

Youth, adolescents, and adults in need of mentoring and social skills ​development.

Model of Treatment:

The program utilizes Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients ​change their thoughts and behaviors. Social skills are essential for positive ​experiences at home, school, and in the community.

Program Structure:

Clients meet with therapeutic mentors in their homes, schools, or ​communities. Frequency of contact decreases as progress is made. The ​program’s duration varies based on individual needs, with regular ​evaluations to monitor progress.

Mental Health Assessment

Service Overview:

A supportive and engaging Day Treatment Program designed to empower ​children ages 10 - 18 and support their mental health journey to improve ​them socially, emotionally and academically.

Who Can Participate:

Children and Youth who might benefit from professional support show ​signs that may include:

  1. School disruption, fights, suspension
  2. Changes in grades
  3. Exceptional shyness/ withdrawing from others
  4. Impulsive Behavior
  5. Changes in friends/lack of friends
  6. Alcohol/Drug use
  7. Running Away
  8. Defiance
  9. Uncontrolled anger
  10. Excessive arguing about rules/curfews
  11. Self-Harm or hurting others
  12. Cruelty to animals
  13. Property damage

GROUP TBS (Day Treatment) Program

Service Overview:

A supportive and engaging Day Treatment Program offered to adults who ​meet declined clinical criteria and demonstrate at least minimal ability to ​participate in a group treatment

For Student- Athletes, Coaches and Parents

a service focused on the social-emotional well-being of student-athletes, ​coaches, and stakeholders. We recognize the pressures student-athletes ​face and offer tailored mental health support to help them succeed on ​and off the field.

Our mission is simple yet powerful: to provide customized mental health ​support and resources that empower student-athletes to excel both on ​and off the field. Through individualized support, team services, and ​workshops, we focus on essential topics like stress management, ​resilience, and more.

We work closely with coaches and support staff to promote positive team ​dynamics and provide education on critical issues like substance abuse ​and eating disorders. We also offer tailored training to help coaches ​support their athletes' social-emotional needs.

Services

  1. Coaches Education:
    • Mental Health First Aid training tailored for student-athletes, with ​certification and athletic-specific endorsements.
  2. Parent Presentations:
    • Customized sessions on supporting student-athletes' social-​emotional needs, focusing on the parent's role.
  3. Team Presentations:
    • Sessions on social-emotional wellness, providing tools for athletes ​to handle challenges. These can be customized to specific team ​needs.
  4. Mindset Coach:
    • A dedicated advisor available to athletes, coaches, and parents ​throughout the season, helping address social-emotional issues.

Schools and Staffs
